RandoMax Radio Presents: Wu-Wednesday #44

Episode forty-four of the ongoing RandoMax Radio Wu-Wednesdays miniseries eschews all of the myriad affiliates and friends of friends in favor of getting back to basics. The ten tracks selected this week represent some of the Wu-Tang Clan’s more mainstream offerings, measured by either potential or actual crossover appeal, and one thing I noticed while compiling this chapter is just how often this specific description wound up applying to Method Man, Ghostface Killah, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, the three most marketable members of the group by far. There are no coincidences, folks, but there is good music here, regardless of the intended audience. Some of these are obvious choices, yeah, but the rest are songs that should have been bigger than they were (or, in at least one instance, a song that would have gained in popularity had it ever been officially released).

Share this one with your friends – by theme alone, this is the episode with literally no barrier for entry.

There are forty-three previous episodes of the Wu-Wednesdays side project, but only the most recent are available on the Mixcloud site. The rest, or at least the songs featured wherein, live on at the RandoMax Radio Spotify channel, with tracks (whatever’s available, anyway – some are easier to find than others) being added to the playlist as they get taken down elsewhere. Although if I’m being honest, I don’t like how Spotify is allowing fucking ICE to advertise on its service, so there is now an alternative over at YouTube Music, which has more of the songs anyway. Give either one a look when you get a chance and tell anybody you know who may enjoy something like this – I appreciate every little bit of support you can offer.

Enjoy!

Hey, man, your blog is pretty damn awesome.
    But I have something small.
Can I send you a reader review at some point?
Also, I can't really afford Patreon at all, so can you post some more of those articles here?

    1. I appreciate the kind words. I'm still open to publishing reader reviews, although I've been slacking as of late - just pitch me your ideas at the email address in the sidebar before submitting, just in case they clash with something else that's going on.

As for the Patreon, there's a free tier available that I plan on shuffling some reviews under very soon, so I'm not sure if I'll post the actual articles here, but I'll try to speed that process up, I'd been meaning to do it for a while and life got in the way.
