RandoMax Radio Episode #12!

You two were likely waiting around for me to review a certain somebody's certain religious rap album that certainly dropped at some point on a certain release date. I mean, I get it: I've reviewed everything else from a certain somebody, so it stands to reason that a write-up would be forthcoming.

However, as it is the last Tuesday of October, we press on, as RandoMax Radio waits for no man, and honestly, I likely had much more fun putting this month's episode together than I will listening to a certain album (which, as of this writing, I haven't actually done yet - sue me). I also put today's episode together five months ago, so who the hell knows what I was feeling when I compiled it, right?

But tonight I say, we must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

Episode 12, shockingly, collects sixteen tracks from varying genres into a cohesive whole. In looking at today's mix, I noticed hip hop representation is fairly light. It's there, definitely, but there's definitely more of an indie vibe here, with some New Wave-adjacent tomfoolery and one song that I love, but veers into a different direction that previous episodes haven't yet dared to tread. I think you'll still dig it, although folks that come here strictly for my thoughts on hip hop may find themselves confused at the dissonance. To them I say: just listen to the goddamn thing.

If you want to know what it was you just listened to, check back in a few weeks for the official tracklist. Patreon subscribers at any level gain access to the song titles immediately, if that's any sort of incentive for you.

  1. I totally understand not wanting to listen to Jesus is King, although I think your review of it would be interesting.
