Shifting things back in a positive direction, this week’s entry into the Wu-Wednesdays canon (only a handful of episodes remaining, folks!) goes back to the “the Wu certainly is capable of playing well with others, why do you ask?” well as a rebuke of last week’s findings. But the truth is that the various members of the Wu-Tang Clan are complicated individuals. Obviously their first goal is to befriend their peers in the music industry, because that’s how they would get wind of any potential opportunities that they could later take advantage of. This week I’m not even just talking about hip hop – the Wu are fairly well known everywhere at this point. But if one were to cross them, wouldn’t you expect there to be some form of retribution? That’s just human nature, none of which is on display in this week’s episode.
Anyway, there’s some good shit here.
There are forty-six previous episodes of the Wu-Wednesdays side project, but only the most recent are available on the Mixcloud site. The rest, or at least the songs featured wherein, live on at the RandoMax Radio Spotify channel, with tracks (whatever’s available, anyway – some are easier to find than others) being added to the playlist as they get taken down elsewhere. Although if I’m being honest, Spotify is kind of bullshit these days, so I’ve put together an alternative over at YouTube Music, which has more of the tracks available anyway. Give either one a look when you get a chance and tell anybody you know who may enjoy something like this – I appreciate every little bit of support you can offer.
Enjoy!
