RandoMax Radio Presents: Wu-Wednesday #26

This week I’m bringing in another theme to help mix it up with the Wu-Wednesdays series. Episode twenty-six, or “wow, I’ve been doing this for half a year already?”, presents the listener, young and old, with ten Wu-Tang Clan and Wu-affiliated tracks which are all produced by Peter Phillips, better known in our chosen culture as Pete Rock. Not only do the Wu play well with others outside of their bubble, they’ve also established longtime relationships with some legacy acts, which makes sense, given that the group has been a part of our world for over thirty years now. Regardless of his poorly researched and misguided take on vaccines and how to handle oneself during a global pandemic, Peter Q. Rockefeller’s music has stood the test of time, which is why I believe you will enjoy this episode. Again, this shouldn’t be looked at as a comprehensive list of everything Pete has done alongside the Wu, it’s just ten songs I like a lot that feature everybody involved in their element. You may also find yourself surprised at some of the inclusions, and if you aren’t, I hope it will at least elicit a light chuckle.

A reminder: Early episodes of Wu-Wednesdays have been removed from the Mixcloud site as a way to free up space, but the songs from each (the ones that are available, anyway) are thriving over on the RandoMax Radio Spotify channel, with tracks from the older episodes being added as they get removed. Give it a look when you get a chance – every like and follow helps me out tremendously.

Enjoy!

-Max
